NEW YORK, NY — Kaltura, the leading video technology provider, today announced that Viacom18’s VOOT Cloud TV service is using Kaltura to support explosive growth, with more than 37 million active users across mobile, web and smart TVs accessing over 50,000 hours of content and 100 million app downloads.
Powered by the Kaltura TV Platform, the VOOT service continues to scale and deploy new innovative technologies that boost engagement and interactivity. Split-screen delivery, tailored experiences for kids through VOOT kids, and Progressive Web Apps (PWA) including offline support, that allow an app-like experience within the mobile browser, available on a wide range of Android devices.
In 2018, VOOT plans to expand its audience base across six regional languages and international markets dedicated to Indian content fans worldwide. It will also launch its premium offering including exclusive original content as well as international series and movies.
