Proximus integrates Prime Video app into latest Android TV box

There’s good news for Proximus customers who are film buffs and series enthusiasts as all the exclusive content available from Amazon’s streaming service ‘Prime Video’ is accessible directly from the latest Proximus Android TV decoder. This means that, on top of all the Netflix and Disney+ content, Proximus customers can now treat themselves to the ‘Prime Video’ catalog membership, from the comfort of their sofa.

Proximus and Amazon are delighted to announce that they have joined forces to integrate the ‘Prime Video’ application on the latest Proximus decoder. The collaboration makes it possible for all Proximus customers with an Amazon Prime membership and equipped with the latest Proximus TV decoder (Android TV) to access the ‘Prime Video’ catalog accessible via their remote control, in just a few clicks.

Customers will be able to enjoy a wide range of award-winning and popular movies and TV shows, including Amazon Original French TV series like True Story, Mylène Farmer and global titles, The Boys and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, as well as movies like French-hits Connectés, Brutus vs Cesar and Forte and global success Sound of Metal, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, Coming 2 America starring Eddie Murphy and highly anticipated upcoming Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse with Michael B. Jordan.

How do I access ‘Prime Video’ content from the Proximus TV decoder?

Access to Prime Video content from the Proximus TV decoder is intuitive.

The application is automatically available on all Proximus Android TV decoders via the ‘app’ section of the main menu.

Customers who already have an Amazon Prime subscription can log in directly to the ‘Prime Video’ application to open their personal account via the Proximus decoder. The ‘Prime Video’ icon is available and displayed in the ‘app’ section of the main menu. All they have to do is enter their personal login/password linked to their ‘Amazon Prime’ membership.

Proximus customers who haven’t yet signed up for an Amazon Prime account can easily subscribe to this service via the ‘Prime Video’ application available on the Proximus decoder. Once they have subscribed to Amazon Prime and created their account, they can sit back and enjoy the entire Prime Video catalog on the latest generation Proximus decoder.

Who can access ‘Prime Video’ content from the Proximus TV decoder?

All Proximus customers equipped with the latest version of the Proximus decoder and who have signed up to Amazon Prime.

All new customers opting for one of the Flex range packs (Essential, All-in, All-in for family, unlimited for family) or EPIC combo will be automatically equipped with the Proximus Android TV decoder.

Existing customers can, however, request the replacement of their old TV decoder with the new Android TV decoder when migrating to one of the above-mentioned packs.
